My Journey May 27th

I have decided to make a post about my journey through my weight lost. I have already lost 13 pounds and counting. I do not weight myself every day, as I believe that really doesn’t help. Your body is going to go up and down in weight. You are never the same in the morning, as you are at night. So, you can’t expect your pounds to be the same day by day. You will have good days, and bad days. Never let your “weight” upset you, if you are happy in the results you are getting, and how you are feeling, and then go with it! You are the only one to make yourself happy, and don’t count on the small things to bring you down.

Any who, I am 25 years old, 5’3 is my height, and I am 178 lbs (as of May 2nd).  I will post pictures, maybe once a month, or the days I go to the Dr. I am not sure yet, if you have ideas, please let me know.

I believe that friends will motivate you, and also that it comes within. If you don’t want to do something you will find 13 million excuses not to, than someone who likes doing it and wants it to be done. Self discipline is a must. If you cheat and drink a coke, then you need to burn off those extra calories.

I am not on a strict diet either. I watch what I eat with proportions, and eat 1 sweet before 6:00 pm, if I want a sweet that day. I, however, have cut out my sodas, pop, or coke, whichever word you use 😀 I have become a fan of flavored water, the little packs you can peel and pour into your 20 oz water bottle. If I work outside in the yard for more than an hour or 2 then I will not exercise in the house. Working outside is hot enough for me, and I am totally exhausted by the time I get back in the house. Sometimes, I am outside for 4-6 hours at a time, just depends on the temperature or shade. I do take a diet pill but on June 3rd I will no longer be taking it. I will be off of it for 3 months. If I gain weight in 3 months I will not be able to get the diet pill back until I lose the weight I gained. So, now you know what I do and I hope I can keep you motivated and try to keep myself motivated. I will post daily, or try to about what I eat or what I do for exercise that day. (Lisa, you better remind me, and vice versa, pinch Kayla into doing this with us) I will update this with a recent picture of me, as soon as I find my camera charger (Bah!!! Don’t know where Hubby put it)

If I exercise inside, it is on the Wii (Just Dance 2) or the elliptical. I will post either, how many songs I do, and how long with the Just Dance 2 and with the elliptical I will post how many calories I burn, and how many minutes I done it. I love doing the Just Dance 2, its fun and you can sing along. If you have kids they can do it with you 😀 (Even though Jade likes crawling around my legs and I step on her on accident sometimes)

  1. I feel you with the muffin top. Mine hasn’t went away since I gave birth to Jade, and now it has to go! LOL! If I am craving chocolate super bad I will eat the Nutty butty bars that are 100 calories, oh but wait, you can melt in the rain! Its like running mascara. Ha ha!! Pepsi was my biggest thing to, but I ditched them. Now, I am not perfect and I will try to drink one every once in a while, but I usually cant handle the sugar. They usually end up giving me a headache, or making my stomach hurt. You can eat a sweet as long as it is before sunset. That way you have all day to burn off the extra sugar and fat. When you eat it during the night your body just stores the extra goodies while your sleeping, because your not burning them off. I am still learning to, but I love the fruit punch packets that you pour into bottle water, grape is good too. They also have strawberry, and raspberry ice on top of other flavors, you could try replacing 1 Pepsi with water. The next day you can do 2 waters instead of 2 Pepsi and so on till you wing yourself off. Which I usually just quit things cold turkey instead of fighting the “I will do it tomorrow” thing. Come on girl, I know you can do it, if I can 😀 No one is weak, just find your inner self who wants to fight to get what she wants. We can Do it!!

  2. Okay, I’m going to have to use you and Redneck Princess for my inspiration, because I have a middle-age, muffin-top that I’ve been wanting to lose by Labor Day weekend when I may be going to Key West with the girls, and all I’ve been doing so far is blah, blah, blah, and no work. I admit…I’m weak! It’s Pepsi and chocolate. Wanna know the excuse I’m able to make to myself and others that enables me to get away with it? It’s that if I don’t have these little vices I would be damn near perfect, and no one wants to have to carry that burden. (Don’t worry. No one else believed that either! ha..ha.. Yeah, that was like the time I tried to convince everyone I was made of sugar and would melt in the rain….) It was a good try though, huh?

  3. oh my 3-5 a day? eeeps. When i was younger I would drink the sodas like that but now i cant even drink the diet drinks, too much sugar for me. I haven’t tried the vitamin waters, but I will see next time I head to the store. 😀

  4. One more thing, I like your writing…I am adding you to my blogroll

    • Your welcome. I am glad too, and it is nice to share with others. I have totally quit the sodas or pops. I have been getting the flavored water packets and pouring it in my water. For some reason though I am never thirsty, so i have to figure out why that is on Friday. Good luck to you too!! and you are so very kind to add me to your blogroll. Anyone I follow gets added on mine, and I will add yours as soon as I can (probably once I post the reply) 😀

    • YAY! I have been drinking the Vitamin Water Zeros, I really like them and I don’t even miss pop, and I used to drink anywhere from 3-5 Mountain Dews a day!!!!!

  5. Thank you for posting this, I am glad you have lost this much and that you have updated us all …..keep it up and a word of advice…..stay away from the pop, but entirely up to you. I haven’t had a pop since May 1st.

Good luck!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
