Raining on my Emotions

This weekend has been amazing! Not only did I get to spend some time with my Hubby but with my family, and his. Saturday, we watched football and root on our team, till it became 21-0 and we was winning, so we scooted outside to clean up trash, and other things so when the rain wouldn’t be washing everything off the porch, and out into the yard, even including about 10 or so flower pots. (Which I need to bring in one of the bigger ones to replant a flower for the inside). I also got to get a Vera Bradley purse for $5, oh yes, I did 🙂 haha! It is really cute too.

Monday, we were at my moms most of the day. It rained most of the day Sunday, all day Monday and we had a lot of Tornado Warnings for our area. (I always love watching the weather, it is like a thrill of mine. I love to see where the “rotation” is going. I don’t get worried, but I do get excited, weird much? I say. haha) Also, my mom made Turkey Chili! Can you say, YUM!?

I can say that I also figured out I gained 8 pounds this weekend. I told yall about me gaining the 5 pounds with the medicine I was on for my infections, but they gave me a new prescription, but that 5 pounds weight gain put me in a funk, and now I added 3 pounds to it 😮 I have decided P90x 2x a day and my elliptical before bed should helped with that 8 pound gain, right? 🙂

How was your holiday weekend?

  1. Re: DL – I use Vuze/Azureus for everything. You should be able to find it through almost any of those DL thingies b/c it’s so popular.

  5. Sounds like you’ve been busy. I love the weather too, and crazy as it sounds would love to see a tornado and survive to tell the tale

  7. Yes, please send some rain my way, too! You know we need it….I used to be the same way with weather. I grew up in tornado alley and used to love to sit outside and watch the funnel clouds form. Lol I don’t think it’s weird at all! I find it absolutely fascinating! And what a steal on that purse! Nice 🙂

    • I haven’t seen anything form, but gosh that would be awesome! Maybe one day. I love just watching the clouds rise up into the sky, with other clouds going a completely different way. I find it amazing in a weird way 😛 I am glad I am not weird, and it is fascinating!!

  8. a Vera Bradley purse for $5!?! That is a score! Way to go!

  9. After an entire summer of 100+ degree days, we cooled off this week. I’m so thrilled! I just hope it stays this way. We could stand some rain, though.
Sounds like your weekend was great! I vegged most of the time. Not a bad way to spend three days. 😉

    • Not to shabby! 🙂 Yeah it has been hot here too. It finally cooled off to around 60-65 degrees, but the hot temps will be back before this weekend. I am soaking it in before the hotter days get back. Maybe with the tropical depresses and other things brewing in the oceans everyone can get some rain soon 🙂

  10. I get that way about the weather too. Hahaha
Weight gain – Pishposh! It comes and goes. Especially with changes in the body like meds, new schedules, etc. It’ll melt right back off. Get active and have fun with it. Have you tried Zumba? Funnn! 🙂

    • I so want to do Zumba! It is hard to try to get a way to go though. We only have 1 car, and hubby works full time and goes to school full time 😦 A lot of hours at home, with P90x haha!! Yeah I know once I get back into the routine it will come off, but gooosshhh don’t these doctors know how hard it is just to lose 5 pounds hahaha!

  11. Send some rain our way! We are in our “monsoon” season but it hasn’t rained much at all! gonna lead to a horrible fire season if we don’t get some water!
