Six Word Saturday

I know Six Word Saturday is on Sunday. So, I am not the early bird, and I didn’t get the worm. But hey! I was having fun with family. So, back on track… My Six Word Saturday

Another great weekend with the family

Friday, we went to visit Lisa and the rest of her little family. We had such a great time. We even shot off fireworks and sat by the campfire. Pleasant day, I must say. Bray did hurt his finger, but he is all good in the neighborhood. Jade had a wonderful time. You could hear the laughter and giggles from the kids, and the guys shooting off the fireworks as the dog (Drake) tries to eat them, haha!

Saturday was filled with staying outside. I read my book, weeded out some weeds in the flowerbed, listened to the football game on the radio, and could hear Jade played with the dogs in the yard. It was really peaceful and even finished a book. After I read my book I even played with Jade. We ran around the front yard about 5x. She is such a motivator.

Sunday (today) We went to church, had pictures made, came home and I went back outside to start on a new book. Life is grand, and I don’t think it could get any better. I love being able to go outside, lay out in the sun and not worry where my child has gone, or who might be pulling up. I even got some sun on my shoulders, and my face.

I hope your weekend was filled with laughs and fun. What did you do this weekend?

  4. Sounds like the weekend was lovely – and a perfectly good reason to be late for 6WS. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m insanely late with visits! Thanks for playing!

  7. my kids were enjoying a visit with Grandma. She took them to an apple orchard to pick apples, them we made applesauce. My son wanted pasta and meatballs for supper, so she took him to the store to buy all the ingredients, and then they made the meatballs together. They had so much fun. And they love it when Grandma comes to our church too and can see their Sunday School classes.

    • aww. Sounds like a wonderful time. We haven’t had meatballs in a long time 🙂 Since it is fall, I am sure it will be right around the corner. Sounds like Grandma had a lovely time too.

  8. Sounds like you had a great weekend! I can’t wait for the cooler weather and we can sit outside and read too! The Library just down the street has these big trees that I love to sit under, but it’s just too hot!

    • The weekend was wonderful. I wish you would get cooler weather too. It looks like we are going to experience a freeze early this year (sigh). We didn’t even have Spring we went straight to Summer, and now I don’t think we will be experiencing much of Fall. I can try and blow you some colder weather, but I don’t think Mother Nature would like that haha! It is so nice to sit outside and just read. I usually do that and lay out in the sun. 🙂

    • We won’t see anything under 90 until mid-late Oct… if we are lucky…
I can’t complain because it looks like we are finally done with the 110+ days!
This afternoon, the clouds rolled in with a breeze and cooled the temps down quickly so I was actually able to take the kids outside for almost an hour! It was wonderful!
Right now we are in the mists of another Haboob (aka, HUGE duststorm). We have gotten way more than normal this monsoon season. But Much less rain than normal. 😦

    • I watched the Dust Storms on Weather.com and wow 😮 I couldn’t image seeing that.
I think the Mid West to California needs rain. I have a lot of friends saying they need rain especially in Texas.

To be honest, if you had not said it was Sunday I would have never questioned you. Even though I have been watching Sunday football all day, let’s just say I didn’t get the worm either!

Sounds like you all had a great weekend. I love being outside goofing off and taking it easy.

    • ROFL Laci. It was really nice just to relax and enjoy the time we had together. With work weeks, we don’t get to do much, and it seems stressed. I watch football on Saturday (College) and Sunday is relaxation after Church. Sounds like your Sunday was a relaxation day too 🙂

Visited my siblings up in Oregon.

I wish I’d had more time, but those were three rockin’ days! ♥
