Merry Christmas

Well, it has been awhile since I have adventured onto WordPress. I thought I would catch you guys up on what is going on with me.

To be honest, I really don’t know why I am loving Freecell, and just recently started playing Words With Friends on Facebook, not only with my friends, but also my husband. It is fun, and I really enjoy it.

The past month has been extremely busy. Since the last time I wrote we have celebrated my 26th birthday. We all got together and went out to eat. I love Mexican, and well that is where we went. The day of the outing for my birthday it was one crazy day. First, Lisa and her hubby went hunting, her husband got a deer and had to take it to the processing place. They come home to get the kids off the bus and their bus got hit by a drunk driver (in front of the home, nothing over the top, just a tap on the school bus), who decided he wasn’t staying there because no one was hurt and drove straight to his home and parked his car. (shake my head) No one was hurt though! Thank gosh!! Then, Savoy (my hubby) was on his way home and the power steering pump blew out of the car, which we got in the mail about 2 months ago that it needs to repaired and under warranty. So, he had to leave the car at the dealership, Lisa’s husband had to go rescue him then take him to my moms work, pick up her truck than come get me and Jade. It was a lot of running around in a circle but we finally made it to eat. It was a great night to say the less and I love spending time with people I care about.

Now it is time to celebrate Christmas. I have been hearing Christmas music since before Thanksgiving, which to me is just WRONG. My birthday has to come before Christmas music, k. thanks. As most of you know though, I really don’t like thinking about Christmas in November because well my daughter’s birthday is Christmas Eve and it just reminds me that she will be another year older, and she is growing up faster every time another year passes by. This year she will be turning 4 years old, gosh where has the time gone?
4 years ago I was praying I wouldn’t have her on Christmas or Christmas eve. With my birthday on December 6th I know what it is like to have a birthday near Christmas and well, what I thought would happen is and I know she will eventually hate it just as much as I did. We ask people to seperate her birthday presents from her Christmas presents because it just feels like all you get is Christmas and no one really cares about your birthday, and as a child she would probably wonder why she goes to all these Birthday parties through the year and yet she don’t really get “birthday” things. See think about it… If you was a 4 year old and your birthday was on Christmas Eve and you get all these presents wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, you would think “Christmas”, so that is why I ask for them to be wrapped separately and you know what if I take the time out to wrap your kids birthday in birthday paper at their birthday than I would think you should do the same for our child. Does this make sense? Since Jade is starting school in August next year we will have a big birthday party, which I am sure people will use the excuse that they don’t have the money to go because they have to buy Christmas or “we will just see you at Christmas” excuse. (I got that a lot when I was little) It just sucks. Anyway… wow I adventured into no mans land lol….

Back on track, 4 years ago Jade arrived into the world. She was a sick baby, a very sick baby. She had a rare blood infection that they didn’t know where it came from, they kept calling it a “gray” area, whatever that means. Her oxygen levels were down, she had a fever, Jaundice was 13 and 16 is brain damage, they done a spinal tap on her, feeding tube, the RH factor (she was B+ and I was O+), and a lot of other things. I was in and out of the room due to them thinking I had a blood clot. It was a mind blowing experience, and I really don’t want to have to go through that again. Christmas Day we was getting told we wasn’t out of the woods yet, other words she could die, or be transferred to another hospital. My husband didn’t sleep for 3 days and even stayed most of the week with us in the hospital. Jade was in NICU for 9 days, but when we could bring her home, it felt more like she was ours. I will never forgot what she looked like under all the machines, and I will always be grateful that we got to keep her and call her ours.
A lot of time people take their babies for granted, and I don’t understand. They hate to hear them cry, or hate to hear them at all and all I can think about is how I love to her my little girl. She helps me with clothes, not because I make her, but because she wants to be with me, she wants to do what her mommy does and that warms my heart all over again. She is forever making me smile and I would never wish her to go away. I brought her into this world to love, to hold, to cherish, to take care of and to be her mommy. I will always love her, and she will always be mine.

And Merry Xmas to you and families, enjoy the spirit of the season 🙂

  4. A wonderful piece. Your concerns about your daughters birthday are very real to me as my granddaughter…and her grandfather…have December 27 birthdays. I remember that he would get his birthday presents on Christmas because his Mom “couldn’t wait”. I know that he would love to have a birthday at any other time of the year.
(my birthday is the day after Valentines Day, and my mother would combine them, too).
    SO, that being said.
    Happy Birthday, belated, to you
