Random, unique and fun
Bored at times but otherwise loving life.

Just my blog to post the random thoughts I have throughout my day.

An overweight woman with blue eyes that sparkle, Jenna has always seen the positive in her life, especially when she looks down to her little girl growing up before her eyes. While her husband provides for the life she is living and her friends come and go throughout the years. Jenna starts to begin her weight loss journey, watching the calories she takes in and giving up completely on fast food. She listens as her friends and family comment on the transformation back to where she once was. Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies and hot delicious brownies are all the wrong foods that give her comfort and satisfaction. The one thing she knows is she has to get herself back to where she was, which is her skinny body and happy.

Being a stay at home mom, she never thought it would her dream; Jenna loves teaching her daughter the basics of life and finds herself loving the war she battles with her weight. Despite the ups and downs, Jenna remains close to her friends, even if some are far away, but never too far from her heart. Thought her friends are quite different from her, they all have one thing in common love. So, when her friends announce how much they miss her, Jenna finds herself feeling lost again in this big world. As time passes by, she feels the need to start making plans, and when her plans begin to tumble around her, she doesn’t want to give up hope.

The past behind Jenna is a lifetime of happiness and hurt, even though she tries to forget it all. Ahead of her are a lot of challenges: to continue losing weight, celebrate what she has, and to rise above anything that comes her way. She has to fight hard in what she believes in and she deserves nothing but the best. Overweight or not she is a beautiful person and she will finally see that for herself.

I was reading your comments about Cracker Barrel being safe. My grandson has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy. We always felt safe at Cracker Barrel and was assured that their food was safe…..Not True. We were there Saturday night and was informed by a manager that anything that is cooked on the grill is not safe. The same grill is used to cook “SAFE” food that is also used to cook pecan crusted fish and something with almonds and pecan pancakes. The Manager said that no matter what the server tells you, they cannot decontaminate the grill during business hours because the cleaner they use can only be used when the exhaust fans can be turned on, after closing. This means bacon, grilled cheese, plain pancakes, hamburgers, steaks, anything grilled is not safe. Please be careful.

    • Hello,
Yes. We got the same answer. They didn’t have the tree nuts on their menu, til they introduced the new lean meal. Cracker Barrel is now off our list on places to eat. So far we can eat at Ruby Tuesday, and Olive Garden, just no desserts. Thank you so much for writing me, and sorry it has taken awhile to get back to you.

  16. Hi Jenna,

I saw your comment on Tilly’s (Laughing Housewife) blog and thought I’d pop by and say hello.

We would really love to have you join us with your own 101 list. There are now 16 of us and we have various ways of supporting each other.

I, personally started my list in March on the same day as Tilly and it has proved to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I am really enjoying myself.

Pop by any time and contact me (you can do so through my contact me form) and I’ll be happy to help you in any way I can. If you’re in the process of making your list and are struggling for ideas bith Tilly and I have an up-to-date blogroll with all of 101ers on it. Everyone is happy to have their ideas used. We also have a badge. You’ll find it on my take part page.

There’s a great website: http://dayzeroproject.com which also is good for ideas. Plus if you add your list there, it helps you to calculate dates and does a countdown for you. (I put my list in without using our real names etc if that’s an issue for you).

Hope to hear from you soon and wishing you well.

  18. Hi Jenna! WOW! You’re beautiful 🙂 thank you for your comment on my blog – I’m just browsing around yours right now! I completely understand about using food to soothe hurt feelings or even to celebrate happy ones! I’m still on a learning curve with that one! I will say though – you are doing the best possible thing – dealing with it now as you’ll be a positive role model for your beautiful daughter and it will energise you physically, mentally and emotionally! 🙂 Weight has little bearing on whether you are a good person or not – as you so rightly put it – but it can have an effect on some peoples outlook – as being overweight has had on mine – I much prefer ‘slimmer’ me 🙂 I look forward to reading more of your blog! xxx

  28. Well, Howdy kid!
I can get away with saying that because I’m officially older than dirt now, so don’t get all randy on me cause you’re 25 and a mommy 😉
Any-hoo, I saw you took a peek/see on my blog so I thought I’d drop by, say “Hello” and “Welcome to the neighborhood”. Shhh…little secret between you and I…people are nuts in this community so lock your doors at night, okay?
I read your post about your dad. Since you aired it and I’m opinionated I gotta comment. LET HIM GO. HIS PROBLEM IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM. IT’S NEVER BEEN ABOUT YOU. PROBABLY NEVER ABOUT YOUR MOTHER EITHER. I speak from personal experience. You are a beautiful girl, you sound like you’re very intelligent, and I know from your site you’re very personable. It sounds like your mother did a wonderful job. The reason you should let him go? Well, because your mother did a wonderful job! Had this selfish man been in your life you probably wouldn’t have turned out so well. I speak from personal experience. My 23 year old, beautiful daughter wouldn’t be the person she is today if her father had been in hers. I have no doubt of this.
Well sweetie, I shall peruse your site further in the future. I hope your family is safe, happy, and healthy, and the sun always smiles upon you. Wonderful to meet you. My name is Lou.

    • Hi Lou,
It is so nice to met you, since I stalked your blog, and snooped into your posts, ha! Thanks for all the kind and awesome words you have said. I am walking away from him, he can kiss it where the sun don’t shine!! 😀 Makes me feel better to say that! But I totally agree, if we don’t go through things in life we will never be able to stand our grounds. I have learn that “men (no offense to hubby)” will think about themselves than others around them. Which it goes both ways (men and women), but in my experience men are dirt bags, some of them are nice, thoughtful, caring and understanding… Those are the ones I stand beside. Give hugs to your daughter I know exactly how it feels!! *takes a breath* If people wanna come knock on my door at night they will just meet my hubby, LOL! I am loving the blog world.. only been here since May 12th 😮 I will defiantly keep up with your posts and read more as I continue my days through the community. Thanks again for the words, you are truly amazing yourself. *shakes your hand* and as you have seen I am Jenna, JennaJadee = Jenna + Jade (Jade is my 3 yr old) 😀
