1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?

In a cup, please, then bring me the cone!

2. What three things do you love the smell of?

– Laundry Detergent while in the dryer. The fragrance lingers through the air. Love it!
– The smell of Rain, which by the way we had 3 days of.
– Coffee brewing, or a coffee candle.. YUM

3. Gift-cards or no? (In regards of Gift giving…)

Personally. I like Gift cards. You can then buy what you want, and you don’t have to worry about getting something twice, or something you really didn’t need. I think Gift-cards is a great idea. People say that they don’t think it is the “right” thing to do, but what is “right” any more? This is a new day in age and I think we need to pick up our feet and move with it.
On another hand, I wouldn’t give gift cards all the time. I think Birthdays should be special, this is the time for that person and to show you are thinking about them on this precious day. Christmas, why not? Hand out Gift cards for the older crowd, or parents and buy toys for the children.

4.What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?

Well, if playing a Clarinet is a sport then that’s what I did in high school. Do I still play them? Are you kidding me? lol!! Oh, well nooo. 6 or 7 years was enough of playing for me.

5. Were you in a band in high school? What instrument did you play?

Ha! I totally answered that in #4… I guess I get a cookie for predicting the future? (and no I really didn’t know what question #5 was before I answered #4. I answer one question at a time.. probably another thing I can add to my OCD collection.

What would your answers be? I hope your Friday is going great! I miss you guys, and I am trying to get back posting, slowly. Hugs and warm thoughts to you all.

1. Do you apologize to your kids if you’re wrong?
Actually I do. I think it shows that we can be wrong, but it is good to apologize if you are wrong.
One time Jade wouldn’t go to bed, she wouldn’t tell me why and after an hour of her coming back into the living room I told her to go straight to bed and don’t come back. I heard her crying, throwing a fit, I went after her and her door was blocked. I felt horrible for making her cry, but I told her I was sorry and gave her kisses.

2. Do you have a class ring, Letterman’s Jacket, or similar obscenely priced high school “must have”?
Why Yes, Yes I do. My mom has my class ring in her closet in a keepsake box. My Letterman’s jacket is hanging up in my closet, which I never wear and plus it has my ex-step dads last name on it, so I will probably just throw it out.

3. If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would you choose?
25! This has been amazing year. You are old enough to know better, and old enough what goes on around you. You are free of your own will and you can do things that others can not. At this age you are not to young, but young enough, you are old enough to vote, drink and hang out with your friends. You are not tired all the time, and you have the time to get yourself together.

4. What is your favorite (unused) baby name?
Boy – Jayden I have always loved the name, and most of all it starts with “J”
Boy – Conrad
Boy – Jasen
Girl – Hayley
Girl – Jasabel

5. If you could make your child like something what would it be?
The vacuum cleaner >.< She screams and cries every time I get it out.

Jenna’s Daily Random Outlook
– Because you know. I never stick to a topic 🙂

2. Who is your mentor/inspiration?
Mentor – a wise and trusted counselor or teacher.
Inspiration – Who inspires me…
Well, Mentor, I have no clue. Counselor, probably Lauren. She is usually there for me to vent 🙂 I like that.
Inspiration – Lisa. She helps inspire me with my weight loss. She helps me get through a lot. She reminds me of where my rock is.

3. What is your wake up beverage of choice?
Vodka? LOL, just kidding.
I really don’t drink first thing in the morning, but I usually have cereal, so milk? 🙂

4. Would you wear your moms clothes?
Heck ya! I brought home 3 bags of clothes from her about 2 weeks ago 🙂 She has a lot of nice outfits.

5. When you was a kid, did you put posters on your walls? If so, what were they of?
Negative. I did however string Christmas lights on my ceiling.
I also had all my books in ABC order and in height order, tallest to shortest. My pens had a place, as well as markers and etc. I was a very bored child haha!

When I was in 2nd grade at another school I thought I was head over heels for a boy. He was the quarterback and I was head cheerleader. I even missed him when I switched schools. All in all I would say he wasn’t my “serious” boyfriend, pfftt it was 2nd grade but he was my boyfriend for 2 years before I moved. 🙂 He was a great friend and even helped me when I broke my wrist and I couldn’t fill out my homework.

First serious boyfriend… I would say.. umm Probably Ryan, and we are great friends today. He is a little weird at times, but hey, most friends all are a little weird. If we didn’t have a little weirdness we would all tend to be bored. haha!

1. Shoes in the House? – Yay or Nay?
I want shoes to be off when people enter, but sometimes I run in and out and don’t take my shoes off, but I am trying to say the less 🙂 I think it really helps keep dirt off the carpet or off hardwood floors. Can possibly save you money in the long run.

2. What Do You Call Them – Flip Flops, Slippers, Thongs, etc?
Isn’t thongs underwear? haha! Around here we all ’em Flip Flops!

3. What Song Are You Almost Embarrassed To Admit You Know All The Lyrics To?

Some new shoes! Like Ballet Flats to wear with my new clothes, and some above the knee boots and some soft shin high boots 🙂
And our wedding Anniversary comes before Christmas and I would really like for Hubby and I to go see an Alabama game! 🙂 Would be an awesome anniversary gift!

1. Did You Make Any Fun Purchases This Week?
Actually I did. I bought a umbrella for my table outside for $10.00! It is big too and even has a crank. I am so excited. On my To- Do list is to make a stand for it and also get some cement to put our table on in the yard. I have so many things going on and this purchase was amazing.

2. If You Could Go To Any Musical Concert, What Would It Be?
I would love to see Daughtry in concert. Anything great thing I would love to do is go to a Hillsong Concert.. more like a praise & worship things. It think it would be wonderful.

3. What Is Your Least Fav/ Most Fav House Chore?
Least favorite – DUSTING! My allergies hate it when I dust haha
Most favorite – Folding Clothes, or Washing Windows

4. Would You Prefer New Appliances Or Clothes?
Both? Right now getting either would be amazing. Getting new clothes is like Christmas and New Appliances is about the same. I pretty much enjoy and appreciate anything that is giving/bought for me. So, either one 🙂

1. Do you close the bathroom door when you are home alone?
No, sad eh? It’s useless trying to close the bathroom door when you’re not alone. So, when I am alone… the bathroom door is the last thing on my mind.

2. You have to walk around with a word on your forehead. That word describes you. One word. What is it?
… Ummm, Idk! Unique? maybe? Cute? ROFL

3. What store do you refuse to shop at and why?
I have to say there is one grocery store that I don’t like shopping at. It is run down, and basically kind of part of the “old” part of town. If you pull up you get the sense to lock your car, and once you go in you feel like you are getting stared at (the 3rd degree stare, of why are you shopping here look).
~takes a deep breath~

4. If you participated in arranged marriages for your child(ren), who would you choose for your child(ren)?
What!? arrange a marriage?? I think I would let her decide on who she marries or not.. I don’t really think it is about arrangement anymore, and I think we are well pasted that.

5. If you could pick how and when you would die, would you?
no. Have you watched Final Destination? ….
I will have to say that I hope I wouldn’t die because a roller coaster fell apart, or something really “weird” happening. oh, and I am sorry.. I disagree with the Sugarland fair concert where the stage fell… “it was not a freakish act of God” really? pffft!

1. Do you have siblings and are you close with them?
I am an only child, but I do have 3 sisters (1/2 sisters, and 1 is adopted – my dads side of the family) 1 brother (1/2 brother – dad side of the family). I think we are closer this year than any other year. If they need me they know to call. 🙂

2. Would you rather be slightly UNDER weight or slightly OVER weight?
I think I would rather be slightly under weight. I am trying to loose weight now, just trying to get back down to “normal” if I was under weight I don’t think I would have problems. I use to weigh (105-115 lbs).

3. What’s your favorite State Fair food to splurge on?
Dude, funnel cakes… I can only eat about 5 bites before I hand it off to someone else, ha!

4. What are your thoughts on your kid(s) going to school in a few weeks?
Jade doesn’t start school till next year and the only thing I have to say to that is YIPPY!!!! haha! I can so get my house cleaned and do the things I need to do around the house without her messing it up, at least while I was home and she was at school, but you know when she gets home from school she might play. 🙂 Either way it will be good for her and me.

5. Pool or Ocean?
Gimme the pool to swim laps in and gimme the ocean to smile at as I sit with my feet close to the water. I miss the salty smell of the ocean. 🙂

Five Question Friday

1. If your husband had the BIG V and you got pregnant what would your first reaction be? For the dudes, what would your first reaction be if your wife told you she was pregnant after the Big V?

Be amazed that God gave me another gift of life. Maybe one day we will have another child, idk, still thinking on that one. But yeah, my answer would be to be happy about it 🙂

2. Best memory about this summer so far.

Gosh, I don’t know. Probably seeing my flower beds come to life. I spent a lot of sweat on them, and they are turning out to be amazing 🙂 Who knew I would love flowers? I also think another best memory is my daughter pointing out her ABCs and telling me what they sound like, even if we are walking into a store 🙂 Oh! and another one being her being fully potty trained, how would that not be a great memory!? Last but not least, seeing myself have tan lines, oh yeah!!!

3. How often do you change your sheets? Your kids sheets?

I try to wash all of our sheets 1/week, but sometimes my pea brain forgets so then it becomes a 2 week thing, which can be totally gross.

4. Having just gone through TSA, would you rather have a full-body scan or a pat-down?
Full-body scan, I don’t know if I could handle a pat-down.

5. Since it is fair time…what’s your favorite fair (county or state) memory?
Haha the fair… yeah. Hubby and I went to the fair, my last time, and hubby said he will never go again rofl!!! We rode the Scorpion and lost our lunch when it started going backwards. I think that broke us, and now when the fair comes we just say “Oh the fair is in town, that’s nice” and it was so expensive!!! I rather spend all that money going to Six Flags 🙂

Ahhhh!! I have been slacking! Sorry my fellow friends and readers. We had some bad lightning the other night and we needed up with no power, and blah blah blah, but I will tell ya about it on Todays truth 🙂 So, Here we go.. 5QF!

1. If you knew your best friend’s spouse was cheating on her or him, would you tell her (him)?

I believe in Karma, and I don’t want to be the one breaking bad news to my friend. It is kinda like, yeah I dunno. Since my (ex) step-dad cheated on my mom and I was the one to tell my mom. I have become a let Karma do her thing, kinda person. I now feel as though if I tell my best friend about something, that the person I’m telling on might have lies good enough to not back my story, so I will just step back and watch what happens. I know, true friends tell and talk, but I already been on that fence and it tore me apart.

2. Soda in a can or a bottle?

Can!!! Something about being in a can makes it feel colder, and the taste is different 😉

3. What do you wash first, hair or body?

I wash my hair first, haha! Am I weird? oh, then I double rinse it before I get out.

4. What advice would you give to any new mama?

Sleep while you can, and if you are doing formula.. get the containers that you can have the formula already in that way you can just dump it into the bottle than shake, shake it! lol!! 🙂 and enjoy the moments while you can because the grow up so fast… or the time passes by so fast, either one.

5. What is your best hangover remedy?

Pop 2 Tylenol in the morning, and go get something to eat, with a water 🙂
