11 Things About Me, That You May or May Not Know

1. I was a band geek. I played clarinet for 6 years, and even concert band.
2. I began my “job” as a Stay-At-Home-Mom before I was even a Mom.
3. I am well on my way to my Third Trimester in my pregnancy.
4. My ironing skills consist of throwing the clothes back in the dryer on “wrinkle free”
5. I do not own an Iphone, maybe one day.
6. My favorite TV shows right now are: Ax Men, Swamp People, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice
7. Trying to take at least 1 friend/family out for lunch a week.
8. My appendix and Gallbladder are both removed within 2 years of each other, on New Year’s Eve.
9. Learned how to do “The Wobble” 6 months pregnant, and still do it!
10. Dishes are my most hated chore. (Doesn’t help that we don’t have a dishwasher)

I don’t ever remember pretending to be like anyone. I was an only child, so I had my imagination with stuffed animals.

My favorite teacher was Coach Kribbs, he was my History teacher. I think the reason why he was my favorite is because he helped me with my Graduation Exam, he took the time to sit down with me and make sure I passed the history part of it, and I will always be grateful for that.
Besides writing, tell us about one of your other talents.
I like to craft. I just started back sewing. I also like re-doing furniture. You can see those under “projects” in my categories.

I wasn’t even thought of it, and my Mom wasn’t either.

Chores

This week I have started a new way of cleaning. I wasn’t cleaning on the weekends when Hubby was home, because who would want to do that?

I knew I had to figure out a way that I wasn’t feeling overwhelmed. I would sit on the couch on Monday wondering where to start. I would try to bust out everything an hour before Hubby came home, because I knew then I had a time limit but then that became stressful.

While exploring Pinterest, I found a chore list, and Wow, it works! This is my first week starting it, so it has taken a lot longer than the 30 minutes, but I can see the light at the end of the ~~tunnel~~ hallway. I can feel it working! Even my Hubby says “Wow, I might keep you for today.” ~laughs~

Another thing, I don’t feel like an overpowering Mom anymore. I let Jade pull out all the toys she wants, when I begin cleaning I make her put up her toys where they belong. If she spills hr dry cereal in the floor, I assist her with the vacuum.

If you start this way of cleaning – Don’t think it will just start working over night. The first week just worry about marking the stuff off the list as you do them, don’t worry about the time. You will see how easy it is to maintain in the first few days.

My Dream Come True

My Dream House

Wow, I have been thinking about this one since 2004.

It is a ranch style house with no “dog houses” on top. It has a straight roof, with a full front porch, and a big enough back porch. My yard is landscaped front and back. The back yard is fenced in for the dogs and all the kid toys are out back as well. There is a cedar type shed for hubby’s things, a garage that has a covered walkway to the side door of the house.

The outside would be either a moss green plank-board, or desert tan vinyl siding. The shutters would be black, as well as the window treatments. The front porch would be painted white. White posts, and a stained porch floor, or placed rock in smooth cement. Black iron thing to go on the columns of the porch to hang flowers from, the driveway would be poured cement lined with flowers on both side, also poured cement coming from the driveway to the front porch steps.

The back yard would have a pond with goldfish, and a swing set that would last forever, a tire swing hanging in the shade of a huge tree, and hanging just barely off the ground. There would be a sitting area with a grill with flowers all around for the feel of peace or romance, just whichever mood strike first. The back yard will be up for entertainment and playing as the front yard would be for the hammock laying as you read a great book, or for a quick nap.

When you walk into the inside it would be warm and inviting. There would be a double window when you walk in. The L-shape kitchen would be on your left, with an island that you could see from the living room. The flat screen would fit onto the wall so you can watch tv from the kitchen, and it would be an open floor plan. The Dining room would be to your right.
There would be 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths. The laundry room would be right beside the side door to go to the garage (which is a detached). The laundry room would be big enough to fold laundry, and house everything from the hot water heater, to the washing machine, and dryer, with a small sink just in case I might need to rinse off my shoes from being outside. One of the 4 bedrooms would be a type of office/workout room.

The Master bedroom would be big. It would have double french doors and have a walkway to the porch outside. The bathroom would be connected to the bedroom, with just a door separating them. There would be a jetted tub, with a window, the shower would be big enough for two, and it would be made with slate rock. The walk-in closet would be right outside the bathroom, of course one side mine, one said his, haha!

I shall continue dreaming 🙂 Maybe one day this will be my Dream Come True.

I am a Drop Out

Day 22 – Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life

One thing I wish I hadn’t done in my life was drop out of college. I wish I would have pushed myself and studied like I should had. If I would have stayed in school, I would be able to be happy and would be able to seek the career I always wanted.

All I can do is wish now, but I know one day I will be able to complete my dreams. When that time comes, I will be going to school for me. I am a changed person from what I was, I now won’t let people determine what I will/can’t do!

Guest Post Tuesdays, maybe?

I have been thinking about making Tuesday – Guest Post Tuesday 🙂 Every Tuesday will be someone different. I think it will be a good idea to not only reach out new ideas/thoughts to new readers. Also, with it being on Tuesdays you will know what day to look out for your post. I will also stay in contact with you about what day your post can go out, or we can talk about it, if you have ideas of course 🙂 I am also up for ideas, instead of doing a specific day, we can just decide when you would like for me to publish it, just let me know.
When I was a Guest on Just Rambling, I loved every minute of it. I figured that I can have a post on Tuesday’s to go only for a Guest Post. I hope others will like to adventure out and want to do it too.
It can be anything, just don’t want anything “x”- rated due to my family reads my blog as well, haha! Seeing something “x” rated might not go over well…. Even though I am Crazy… Maybe not that crazy.

I think it will be a great way to reach out to new readers. Also, you can stalk the comments of your guest post and talk to anyone who leave a comment, and of course get new readers to your site. 🙂 It is all about being fun.

Gay Marriage

Day 18 – Your views on gay marriage
My personal thoughts would be “God didn’t create Adam and Adam, or Eve and Eve… he created a man and woman” but then if I quote the bible and start pointing fingers about what is right, then I am judging them. Which is wrong, right?

With having friends who are gay, lesbian, straight… this is how I feel, and I will not to “judge” anymore. So, please continue reading.

I believe if you love someone, or like someone, then you should go with what your heart tells you. Who said this world has to be all straight people? and if you walk by someone and you are holding hands with your partner, then simply smile and continue walking. Life is about opportunity and loving yourself for who you are. If that is who you are then OWN it!

People also often say that “gays” shouldn’t have kids because it is not natural, but hello… is it natural for someone to take medicine to “help” their chances to get pregnant? Is someone suppose to live without a child because they can’t get pregnant “naturally”?
Also, have you seen how many kids are in foster care? Have you seen how many kids are going with out, because I bet it is the same people who wants to keep them in foster care, that believe that they are not to have a home, that adopting foster kids is not natural?
Or, another idea that came to my mind, is it natural for a C-section? What exactly is “natural” in your book?

A marriage is a marriage, right? 🙂 I believe that we all need to be happy on this world, and do what makes you happy.

I am married, and if anyone would like to be married to someone they love then I don’t think we should hold them back on it.

Five Question Friday

Ahhhh!! I have been slacking! Sorry my fellow friends and readers. We had some bad lightning the other night and we needed up with no power, and blah blah blah, but I will tell ya about it on Todays truth 🙂 So, Here we go.. 5QF!

1. If you knew your best friend’s spouse was cheating on her or him, would you tell her (him)?

I believe in Karma, and I don’t want to be the one breaking bad news to my friend. It is kinda like, yeah I dunno. Since my (ex) step-dad cheated on my mom and I was the one to tell my mom. I have become a let Karma do her thing, kinda person. I now feel as though if I tell my best friend about something, that the person I’m telling on might have lies good enough to not back my story, so I will just step back and watch what happens. I know, true friends tell and talk, but I already been on that fence and it tore me apart.

2. Soda in a can or a bottle?

Can!!! Something about being in a can makes it feel colder, and the taste is different 😉

3. What do you wash first, hair or body?

I wash my hair first, haha! Am I weird? oh, then I double rinse it before I get out.

4. What advice would you give to any new mama?

Sleep while you can, and if you are doing formula.. get the containers that you can have the formula already in that way you can just dump it into the bottle than shake, shake it! lol!! 🙂 and enjoy the moments while you can because the grow up so fast… or the time passes by so fast, either one.

5. What is your best hangover remedy?

Pop 2 Tylenol in the morning, and go get something to eat, with a water 🙂

Worship Wednesday

Today has been a great day.
