Five Question Friday

Be sure to click this button and blog hop with us for Five Question Friday!

1. If you had the opportunity to bungee jump, would you?
Ohhhh, probably not! I am such a sissy when it comes to heights. I couldn’t image jumping with only a rope tied to me. That takes some “trusting”, and I don’t think I could have that much trust in a rope, ha!

2. Would you rather go to the movie theater or to the drive-in?
If there was still Drive-Ins around, I would say Drive-In!!! I went one time when I was little and it was so much fun. I sat in the grass and watched the movie in amazement. Maybe we can find another one, it is something to experience again.

3. Do you have your groceries delivered?
No, I deliver the groceries myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

4. Eyebrows: Do you wax, thread, pluck, or stay au naturel?
Natural for now, but I want to eventually get them waxed again. I don’t use tweezers as my eyes will water, but waxing is just fine with me ๐Ÿ˜‰

5. Would the people you went to high school with be surprised by your life today?
Probably not. Who in my high school would give a crap to be surprised by my life? They probably are still thinking that they are king/queen of the world, lol! The friends I had in high school are still my friends today, well some, ha!I hope everyone has a wonderful July 4th (Independence Day) and I also hear that Canada Day starts today! Have a wonderful weekend my blogging friends!

A Happy Birthday Post

Before I get all mushy into the Happy Birthday I have to share with you as my readers and my blog warming friends…
I posted my Music Challenge today, and this is a comment I get for it.. I hope it makes you smile just like it did me.
Yeah, I could Play that | We’re Jumpin ยป Merry Christmas !!!!!!…

My Hey Song made it to Christmas!! and they even told me Merry Christmas! LMAO!!! I know they want traffic, but I have to give them kudos to making me laugh.

I am sending a shout out not only because I can, or want to, but because Happy Birthdays should be special and a time for enjoyment for making it another year. My hubbys birthday is today! He is just a year shy of moving on to the grand 30s and today starts the mark off of never seeing the 20s again.

Dear Hubby,
Thank you for everything you have done. provided, and for sharing your world with ours. I hope we continue to celebrate not only your birthdays, or our birthdays but endless days to just enjoy each other. I hope we will eventually be filled with love, not just within our hearts as we both seem to have, but with love through our thoughts as we continue the journey of being more than just an ordinary Husband and Wife. I hope that your birthday is a special day from my heart to yours. You will never understand how much I truly care and love you, for as I don’t really know how to hold you and tell you, but I will reach out and touch you every chance I get. I may not be perfect, but I hope I am perfect for you. I know we have our ups and downs, not just with marriage but through everything that is going on with your health, and mine. We may not always see eye to eye, but I would like the world to know I do love you. Happy Birthday Savoy, and may you have many more that we can celebrate together.
I love you,

There’s a BUG a Crawling…

Thank God I didn’t fall off the bed and hurt myself. I am usually good at keeping calm during these events, but no, not while I am sleeping.
Last night (not tonight, but Thursday night) we all decided to go to bed about the same time. Hubby put Jade to bed; I got myself ready for bed (of course checking my blog like a creeper before heading out for the night.)
I got all cozy in my bed, feet in my blankets, arm under the pillow, other hand up under my chin, with the blanket wrapped so securely and tight around my hand, right near my skin. I was so relaxed, in peace, getting ready to fall in that deep sleep, the deep sleep where your drool is about to run down your face, the sleep where you believe you are in the mystery side of heaven. Then Hubby wakes me, “Hey, Your daughter is awake.” (Your daughter – heard that right, lol) I throw the blanket off my arms, kick my feet out of the blankets and find myself at Jade’s bedroom door. She is standing there with her arms up, tears rolling down her face, “I need to go pee pee in the potty.” I put her down tell her to hurry up, because mommy is tired. She comes back; I give her kisses and send her back off in her bed.

I get back to my room, does the same process with my blanket, get all cozy, go back into my little peaceful dreamland, and Hubby wakes me again, 30 minutes later. I storm out the bed, yelling if he wakes me again I am going to go crazy. I get to my daughters room, and she says, “My pull up hurts.” I stump to the living room, grab a clean pull up, hand to her when I get back to her door, she changes them, throws the one that “hurts” in the hallway (even though there is nothing wrong with it, it just isn’t a “new” one). I bend down give her kisses, tell her to go night night, gave her the babies, and moezied my way back to my hole in the bed. (Note: It is now 12:00am)
4:00am Hubby jumps up (still asleep) and sits on the edge of the bed. I wake up ask him what is wrong, realize he is still asleep (thinking he might just think his alarm clock went off), tell him to lay back down, he still has a while. I get back to sleep when I was so rudely awakened by a BUG!!!
This bug was running down my arm, I flipped it off my arm, I jumped up on the bed, grab my pillow, shake it, run across to the other side of the bed, flipped on the light, and there is the bug… a CENTIPEDE!! He is now crawling over the blankets I start letting my voice get a little louder. I wake hubby tell him to get the BUG! I am now sitting back on my knees as the bug approaches my blanket; Hubby flicks him off the bed, then turns out the light. I sit there, waiting, wondering if it is going to come back! Hubby didn’t kill it remember!

Well, I stayed up til 6:30am Friday morning. Before hubby went to work we checked and shook all the pillow (all 5 of em), shook the blanket, made sure the bed skirt was in fact off the floor (tucking it in under the mattress) and I rolled up into my blanket like a cocoon. I finally dozed off to be awakening at 8:00am to my little Jade wanting a cookie.

Groundhog Day

So, I was sitting here writing my PostADay, just minding my own business, typing away, than my dogs outside start barking like mad dogs, my daughter is screaming at the window yelling at me, “WHATS THAT MOMMY!!!”

I drop what I do and I scoot on over to the window, look outside and there is an animal in my yard! This thing is chasing my cats, WHAT IN THE WORLD! I grab my camera and just wonder myself right on the porch. I watch him for a second, then realize there is a beaver in my yard!

I take the camera back in the house, grab my phone, my heart is racing through the roof, my hands are shaking, and I start calling Lisa! I am like panicking.

Lisa, “Get the water hose and squirt him!”
Me, “Lisa, I am NOT getting off this porch!”
Lisa is laughing
I start laughing
~The groundhog runs after the cat~
~I scream~ “OMGGGG!!!! He is chasing my cat!”
~Watching the little bugger, he is only about 5ft away from me, the water hose is like 15 ft away from me~
At this point the groundhog is walking around my flowers, and I walk to the edge of the porch~
Me, “Heyyyyy lil creature.”
~Groundhog walks closer to me~
Now lil stunt guy is beside the house, about 3 ft from me.
Me: “Lisa, I think it is going to go under the house!”
Lisa, “Well, Tell Savoy when he gets home.”

My cat doesn’t know what to think! (Either did I)
Around this tree is my next project ๐Ÿ™‚ Another flower bed!

Well, I eventually called Hubby and well, he didn’t seem as surprised as me. I now have a groundhog under my house ๐Ÿ˜ฎ A groundhog that doesn’t seem to like my cats.

I had this post already in my draft box yesterday. It got so busy around the house that I didn’t have time to post ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I, however, thought the groundhog to be a beaver instead. It sure looked close to a beaver, and plus I have never seen a groundhog! ha! Yeah, hubby was amazed I have been sheltered from such.

President, What!?

I personally don’t think I would be good in politics anyways. I don’t care anything about politics, much less being a President, King, or Prime-minister.

I also believe our government is truly messed up anyway! They did that all on their own, without my help, thank gosh! I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I stepped through the door at the “office”.

I, however, do believe that people on Welfare, food stamps, and any other government help should have to take drug tests. I don’t believe in people who have babies, just to get money. I also don’t believe in people totally living off the government if they are perfectly normal!

Another thing is custody battles. I don’t believe that a child should just automatically go to the mom. I believe there should be investigations done to see where the child should be placed during custody. A child should have love, toys, a clean environment, their own space, and it should totally rest on the well-being on the child. It shouldn’t be strictly an one way street! Sometimes the dad in the child’s life, might be best for the child!

As I was looking through some of my friends on Facebook I have noticed that they had problems with the government due to the “No Child Left Behind“. My opinion is that if a child is not where he/she should be during that school year, than why not hold him/her back to get the best out of the child? Why just keep moving the child forward through school, how will this help the child in the future? If they are reading on a 4th grade level, why move them into a 6th grade reading class? How does that make sense? So, again, think what is “best” for the child, not what is “best” for the school!

I wouldn’t know where to begin with government policies, so please don’t bully my post, into what you think or what you think I should think. I am just politely stating my opinions, ha!

Mind Swings

My PostADay from The Daily Post.

I change my mind all the time. It really depends on what I am thinking about. I call it “Mind Swings; They are often like Mood Swings”

This morning I woke up. I thought if I do clothes now, they will be done and this afternoon I can fold them and put them up. I than went to the living room grab my book Black Rose by Nora Roberts. I sat in my bed and read 2 more chapters before getting back out of my bed to fix my little kiddo some breakfast. (Clothes are still sitting in the basket, maybe I will start on them in a bit. Heck it is only 2 loads, ha!)

I am still debating, in my brain of mine, if I need to go outside and lay out, even though I am still a light shade of pink from 2 days ago. I am sure I will probably end up out there at some point this afternoon, when Jade is taking her peaceful nap.

If I never change my mind a million times a day, than something is wrong, lol. I am not kidding, if I don’t change my mind, or topics, or the way I think I am usually in bed with a cold bath cloth on my forehead, blankets up to my chin, and pale as a ghost.

If we never change our mind, than we will all be like robots, just doing things out because we know what to do. If you don’t think of anything “new” than you can’t learn anything “new” about yourself.

So, When was the last time you changed your mind?

A Date Night

Hubby and I ventured out yesterday (Friday). Before we went out I was working in my yard. Hubby kept telling me I need to hurry we have bad weather coming through. Well, BLAH! I wanted to get all this done, since I have more of my flowerbeds done, now I just need to get to weeding out grass. While I was planting some more monkey grass, hubby was helping with making the holes bigger, and dividing it up so I can just place it in the hole and cover it up. I got halfway done with my 22 holes and it starts thundering, the more times it thunders, the closer it gets. I was hurrying up, throwing the grass in the hole, getting dirt and placing it in there. I don’t think I have moved that fast in a long time. When I went to stand up, it felt like I was going to fall over. I don’t guess you need to be leaning over for too long, ha!
Anyway, we got half of them in Hubby ran Jade in, gave her a bath. As I walked to the house I could feel my phone falling from my boobs. UGH! My hands where full, a drink, wow I can’t even remember everything I had, hahaha! Yeah, so I stopped in the hallway and told hubby to save my phone. (I forgot I put my phone between my boobs). Hubby starts joking around about it and tossed my phone in his chair and took back off to help Jade in the tub. I got me something to eat (since I didn’t eat breakfast and I took my diet pill, not a good combo), filled up my drink, grabbed my phone and went outside to wait for them to get out of the bathroom so I can get my shower and get ready to go to the movies.
As I sat outside I looked at my phone, tried to turn it on, because it often just goes off by itself. I had no luck getting it to turn on. At this point I feel like everything isn’t going right. My phone is being stupid, my flowers are not all planted, and I still have to get a shower before the storm moves in. I watch the clouds and try to fix my phone, taking it apart, putting it back together, beating it, lol! I finally stood up to take it to hubby. While I stood up, the chair I was sitting in fell off the porch, due to a little gust of wind and my legs pushed it back since I stepped back before going forward.
I gave my phone to my hubby and he put my sim card in his phone, handed me his phone and tried to fix my phone. (No Luck with my phone, Hubby says it has gone loopy! and for good this time) Sigh.
I finally get a shower, get out. I don’t even flat iron my hair. As I was drying my hair the storm started. You could hear the wind howling, lightning popping and the thunder rolling. I got half of my hair dried when I went to look out the living room window, right in time to see the lightning hit in the yard. It was a nasty storm, you can see pictures of what it did to Life’s Little Slices garden since she just lives 5 miles from me.
We get to Lisa’s house; leave Jade and head on our way to see X-men. I have to say I liked the movie. It brought everything together from the other movies. Some parts were corny, but what movie now-a-days doesn’t have corny crap in it? It was definitely a lot of action, and it was really worth it for me. After the movie I ask hubby where were going to eat, and he takes me McDonald’s, so I super size it, LOL! JK!! He did take me to McDonald’s though.ย  Not much on my diet, but I did only eat half of the burger, and half of the fries. ๐Ÿ™‚ So, I did pretty good.

Life is hard

Sometimes in life we are dealt some hard cards. The cards that you hold in your hand for years to come, never knowing if you should get rid of them, or keep hanging on to them.

I have been dealt with a lot of cards in my life. I always come out on top, always looking at the positive instead of the negative. Can you imagine how life or your friends would be if your life is full of nothing but Negative? The sad brought on everyday, or the smart ass comments that they say 24-7. I have noticed to make your life better for yourself, you have to figure out who you are in the beginning. You have to find your inner-self before you can get rid of the cards that you are dealt.

No one ever said that this life is easy, and that you will never go through hard times, or times that you will never cry.

So, for today. Figure out what makes you happy, and sit and just relax on that thought. Let the smile come to your face, as you feel what you are thankful about, or just call a friend/family to make you laugh. Everyone needs a time in their day to smile, laugh and feel good about themselves.

ย Joke for today

A young man was walking through a supermarket to pick up a few things when he noticed an old lady following him around. Thinking nothing of it, he ignored her and continued on. Finally he went to the checkout line, but she got in front of him. “Pardon me,” she said, “I’m sorry if my staring at you has made you feel uncomfortable. It’s just that you look just like my son, who just died recently.” “I’m very sorry,” replied the young man, “is there anything I can do for you?” “Yes,” she said, “As I’m leaving, can you say ‘Good bye, Mother’? It would make me feel so much better.” “Sure,” answered the young man.
As the old woman was leaving, he called out, “Goodbye, Mother!” As he stepped up to the checkout counter, he saw that his total was $127.50. “How can that be?” He asked, “I only purchased a few things!” “Your mother said that you would pay for her,” said the clerk.

He’s not paying attention

In the mist of the day I told hubby on his way to work to pick up some fish sticks, ketchup, snack, and a movie. He would call me back ever so often and ask if we need this or need that, I would eventually tell him yes or no, or add another thing to the list.

Well, he gets home with like 6 bags of groceries.. I didn’t think he was going for food for the rest of the week. I just thought he could make a quick drop by and get what we needed for tonight, since he is off this coming week.

Anyway, he puts the movie on the counter, as I sit in the chair and we go back and forth about the movie.

Me: So, what is it?
Hubby: Well, You will like it, it has one of your fav Actors in it.
Me: okkkk, who?
~We are having the conversation as Jade is laughing, and hubby is washing something in the sink~
Hubby: Well, She is your favorite actor..
Me: Matthew? … (hints I didnt hear the her part) lol
Hubby: Her/Female Your Favorite as you state in your blog
~bells go off~
Me: Ohhhhhh!!! Jennifer…
Hubby: Yeahhh there you go LOL

So, tomorrow we will be watching Just Go With It

and just so maybe, Hubby does pay attention ๐Ÿ˜‰
