1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?

In a cup, please, then bring me the cone!

2. What three things do you love the smell of?

– Laundry Detergent while in the dryer. The fragrance lingers through the air. Love it!
– The smell of Rain, which by the way we had 3 days of.
– Coffee brewing, or a coffee candle.. YUM

3. Gift-cards or no? (In regards of Gift giving…)

Personally. I like Gift cards. You can then buy what you want, and you don’t have to worry about getting something twice, or something you really didn’t need. I think Gift-cards is a great idea. People say that they don’t think it is the “right” thing to do, but what is “right” any more? This is a new day in age and I think we need to pick up our feet and move with it.
On another hand, I wouldn’t give gift cards all the time. I think Birthdays should be special, this is the time for that person and to show you are thinking about them on this precious day. Christmas, why not? Hand out Gift cards for the older crowd, or parents and buy toys for the children.

4.What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?

Well, if playing a Clarinet is a sport then that’s what I did in high school. Do I still play them? Are you kidding me? lol!! Oh, well nooo. 6 or 7 years was enough of playing for me.

5. Were you in a band in high school? What instrument did you play?

Ha! I totally answered that in #4… I guess I get a cookie for predicting the future? (and no I really didn’t know what question #5 was before I answered #4. I answer one question at a time.. probably another thing I can add to my OCD collection.

What would your answers be? I hope your Friday is going great! I miss you guys, and I am trying to get back posting, slowly. Hugs and warm thoughts to you all.

3. Paper books or ebooks?
Paper Book PLEASE 🙂

4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?

5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?

When I was in 2nd grade at another school I thought I was head over heels for a boy. He was the quarterback and I was head cheerleader. I even missed him when I switched schools. All in all I would say he wasn’t my “serious” boyfriend, pfftt it was 2nd grade but he was my boyfriend for 2 years before I moved. 🙂 He was a great friend and even helped me when I broke my wrist and I couldn’t fill out my homework.

First serious boyfriend… I would say.. umm Probably Ryan, and we are great friends today. He is a little weird at times, but hey, most friends all are a little weird. If we didn’t have a little weirdness we would all tend to be bored.  haha!

1. Shoes in the House? – Yay or Nay?
I want shoes to be off when people enter, but sometimes I run in and out and don’t take my shoes off, but I am trying to say the less 🙂 I think it really helps keep dirt off the carpet or off hardwood floors. Can possibly save you money in the long run.

2. What Do You Call Them – Flip Flops, Slippers, Thongs, etc?
Isn’t thongs underwear? haha! Around here we all ’em Flip Flops!

3. What Song Are You Almost Embarrassed To Admit You Know All The Lyrics To?

I’m a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it’s fantastic
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation
Come on Barbie, let’s go party! …. 😮

Sad eh!? and such an awful song haha!

4. What Is The Best Quality To Have In A Friend?
Surely There is not just 1 😛
I would say Honesty, Loyalty, Love, Trust… 🙂

5. Do You Know What You Want For Christmas?

Some new shoes! Like Ballet Flats to wear with my new clothes, and some above the knee boots and some soft shin high boots 🙂
And our wedding Anniversary comes before Christmas and I would really like for Hubby and I to go see an Alabama game! 🙂 Would be an awesome anniversary gift!

Memories

Have you ever had someone you loved die?

My grandmother died in 2004. I never thought I would picture this growing up. She was my rock, comfort, and like my 2nd mom.

I would get off the bus and walk to her house before walking to my own. She would make sure I had something to eat, a crossword book, or a recipe book. We would help each other out with the Crossword because I never would get the right words.

I miss those times I could just go to Mawmaw’s and talk to her. She would give me advice, take my hand and tell me everything was going to be alright.

She loved her flowers, garden, cooking, and spending time with others. I will never forget how she hugged or the way she would make pound cake and bring me the beater from the mixer. She would tell me she loved me everyday.

I remember one time I didn’t stop at her house, I ran all the home (Which her house was only like 50 yards from mine). I got to the front door and the phone was already ringing, wondering why in the world I did not stop for supper, and that she had a bowl I could lick clean. She always knew how to make my day so much better!

I miss her everyday, but sometimes I just sit somewhere and go back to the memories I have of her.

It is hard to believe that cancer took her away from us. If you never had anyone close to you die of cancer, it is so hard to watch your love one go through pain, hurt, torment, and no strength. There is not a day I don’t think about her. I know she would love my little girl as much as she loved everyone else.

If I could bring her back just for 1 day, I would.

Just a Thought

I have been thinking, due to us recently visiting the Zoo. Why is it other businesses can not have small potties for toddlers? Do you know how much easier it would be to a mother? I think at least every Walmart, Target, Publix, and other grocery, toy stores, etc should have small potties. Then, all the mother has to do is cover the potty, while the child is pulling their pants down, the child can turn and sit on their on free will. Instead, we have to cover the potty, help the child on the potty, sometimes hold the child on there. As the child uses the potty we have to hope and pray they wont be scared of the “big” potty when it flushes!

So, my question is; How can the Zoo have potties for children, but not other businesses?

They were small, heck I might even use it!

Also, if you walk into a restroom with small stalls and potties, it somehow brings a sense of relief and its not so overwhelming for the child to go to a public restroom 😀
