Weight-loss Plan

When I first started my weight-loss journey people would often ask ‘what diet I was doing or starting’. So, here you go how I am loosing weight, my own style.

1. I watch what I eat. (not just it going into my mouth) I watch my calories. I eat Lean Cuisines/Smart Ones/grilled vegetables. I try to not take in more than 300 calories for lunch. Breakfast is a small bowl of cereal, or a banana. Snack is a sweet. Supper is something simple, but sometimes not, just depends.
I don’t like how people find a diet and think it will work for them. I wanted something I do myself, without getting rid of everything I love to it. I believe the biggest thing in loosing weight is self-control.

2. Eat sweets before 6pm, so that way your body has time to get the sugar out of your system. If you go to bed with sugar in your stomach than your body is resting, your body then stores the extra sugar as fat.
What!? I can have sweets?? OH YES! But don’t over do it.

3. Drink tea, flavored water, or diet sodas. I have really cut back on sodas, but sometimes I crave them. At least with a diet drink it is 0 calories and just drink it before 6pm (remember sugar). Also, if I get a 20 oz bottle, I will not drink the whole thing. Also, I can not drink plain water. I get sick to my stomach. So, you can packets to pour into your water. 0 grams of sugar, and only 5 calories per glass! Fruit Punch, Grape, Blackberry Grape, and the energy packs are my favorite! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yummy to my tummy, haha!

4. Workout – elliptical/Wii/Outside
I try to workout for an hour on the Wii then 15-20 minutes at night on the elliptical. I also watch calories then try to burn half of the calories I take in that day. Example: If I take in 1000 Calories then I try to burn 500 calories. That would be 30 minutes on the elliptical. I know sometimes it is hard to track your calories as with being a SAHM I tend to forget to write down my calories. I use to use Sparkpeople but never really took the time to learn the website, but it does have a great way to watch your calories and keep track of exercise ๐Ÿ™‚

So, now you know what I do. Nothing hard, nothing out of the ordinary, but you can do it too!

I do take a diet pill, but just so you know I lost between 5-8 pounds before I even went to the doctor to help me. When I first started my weight-loss I was 198 pounds. I had no energy, what so ever. That is the reason I reached out for help. Here I am 4 months or so later and 30 pounds lighter. I don’t take the diet pill everyday. I take it for 3 months, then off for 3 months.

People who start loosing weight buy a scale and stand on it religiously, well I don’t. I do not weight myself till I go to the Doctor for a check up on my weight loss. I don’t want to disappoint myself with looking at a scale if I gained 1 pound one day! I believe that you can weigh yourself maybe 1x a month, but your body will gain and loose weight. Don’t get discouraged if you gain a few pounds, just keep doing what you are doing. Your body is adjusting ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyone could lose weight, all they have to do is figure out if it is really important to them. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!

My Journey May 27th

I have decided to make a post about my journey through my weight lost. I have already lost 13 pounds and counting. I do not weight myself every day, as I believe that really doesn’t help. Your body is going to go up and down in weight. You are never the same in the morning, as you are at night. So, you can’t expect your pounds to be the same day by day. You will have good days, and bad days. Never let your “weight” upset you, if you are happy in the results you are getting, and how you are feeling, and then go with it! You are the only one to make yourself happy, and don’t count on the small things to bring you down.

Any who, I am 25 years old, 5’3 is my height, and I am 178 lbs (as of May 2nd).ย  I will post pictures, maybe once a month, or the days I go to the Dr. I am not sure yet, if you have ideas, please let me know.

I believe that friends will motivate you, and also that it comes within. If you don’t want to do something you will find 13 million excuses not to, than someone who likes doing it and wants it to be done. Self discipline is a must. If you cheat and drink a coke, then you need to burn off those extra calories.

I am not on a strict diet either. I watch what I eat with proportions, and eat 1 sweet before 6:00 pm, if I want a sweet that day. I, however, have cut out my sodas, pop, or coke, whichever word you use ๐Ÿ˜€ I have become a fan of flavored water, the little packs you can peel and pour into your 20 oz water bottle. If I work outside in the yard for more than an hour or 2 then I will not exercise in the house. Working outside is hot enough for me, and I am totally exhausted by the time I get back in the house. Sometimes, I am outside for 4-6 hours at a time, just depends on the temperature or shade. I do take a diet pill but on June 3rd I will no longer be taking it. I will be off of it for 3 months. If I gain weight in 3 months I will not be able to get the diet pill back until I lose the weight I gained. So, now you know what I do and I hope I can keep you motivated and try to keep myself motivated. I will post daily, or try to about what I eat or what I do for exercise that day. (Lisa, you better remind me, and vice versa, pinch Kayla into doing this with us) I will update this with a recent picture of me, as soon as I find my camera charger (Bah!!! Donโ€™t know where Hubby put it)

If I exercise inside, it is on the Wii (Just Dance 2) or the elliptical. I will post either, how many songs I do, and how long with the Just Dance 2 and with the elliptical I will post how many calories I burn, and how many minutes I done it. I love doing the Just Dance 2, its fun and you can sing along. If you have kids they can do it with you ๐Ÿ˜€ (Even though Jade likes crawling around my legs and I step on her on accident sometimes)
